Welcome to the NEW Iowa Museum Association (IMA) website - redesigned to help you experience the cultural heritage of Iowa, by showcasing the wide variety of museums which belong to IMA and providing members with a new outlet to share information!

Over 184 IMA member organizations consisting of 370 members can be found in 81 of Iowa’s 99 counties.  IMA provides a vital voice for museums to communicate with local and state governments and provides workshops, conferences and technical support to improve collection management, exhibitions and other facets of museum work which directly contributes to and enhances Iowa’s tourism attractions, preserves Iowa history and strengthens community and local pride.
